GRAMMAR EXAM:

1.-Singular and plural nouns.

The plural form of most nouns is created simply by adding the letter s.

·         more than one snake = snakes

·         more than one ski = skis

·         more than one Barrymore = Barrymores

Words that end in -ch, x, s or s-like sounds, however, will require an -es for the plural:

·         more than one witch = witches

·         more than one box = boxes

·         more than one gas = gases

·         more than one bus = buses

·         more than one kiss = kisses

·         more than one Jones = Joneses

Note that some dictionaries list "busses" as an acceptable plural for "bus." Presumably, this is because the plural "buses" looks like it ought to rhyme with the plural of "fuse," which is "fuses." There are several nouns that have irregular plural forms. Plurals formed in this way are sometimes called mutated (or mutating) plurals.

1.- La última semana de cada mes, los chicos no llevarán lectura nueva, como parte de su control de lecturas, sino que llevarán a cabo un repaso de todas aquellas que han estado recibiendo durante todo el desarrollo del mismo. Aun así el control  deberá ser firmado dentro de los 3 días señalados, haciendo referencia a la lectura de repaso de todo el mes.

Estimados padres de familia, esperando que se encuentren muy bien, les comunico que el próximo Lunes 10 de Febrero estaremos iniciando nuestro ensayos de vals para la graduación, tomando en cuenta que solo contaremos con 4 clases por mes, de 1 hora cada una de ellas, suspendiendo ensayo el mes de abril, por vacaciones y salida a Inglaterra, retomaremos en mayo en horario y días normales!!!

In our last parents meeting, we got an agreement about the homework, we said that we are not having homework since today, in order to let the children the time to work properly in their assignment about English projects. Which have to be deliver on time starting the next Monday 27^th, 2014.

In addition to this some students are participating in their football and basketball matches, and for this reason they probably won´t have enough time to realize their projects, for all these situations the corresponding homework to this and the next week, will be reprogramed until the 4^th to 7^th February week.
